Regardless of reports of dysfunction within the company last season, it does not look like much is going to alter in 2024 concerning just how much impact Aaron Rodgers has more than the New York Jets.
Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowlerone group source explained the Jets as being “wed to” Rodgers today.
“Everything the Jets do,” Fowler composed, “for much better or even worse, focuses on Aaron Rodgers, who might chart a course to the playoffs … or a complete reconstruct. Significant lineup choices swirl around the quarterback.”
It’s not a surprise the Jets are going to keep doing whatever in their power to guarantee that Rodgers mores than happy.
In a Jan. 31 report from The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt and Dianna Russini about the 2023 Jets’ season, Rodgers was referred to as having more power over the lineup than basic supervisor Joe Douglas:
