My Cannabis Art
Seeds, Genetics & the Art of Growing
My Cannabis Art is an independent cannabis education and genetics publication created for adults who want to understand the plant beyond strain names and marketing claims.
We explore cannabis seeds, genetics, cultivation, strain characteristics, breeding history, and the science that helps explain why one plant can behave very differently from another.
Cannabis is both biology and art. Genetics provide the blueprint, but environment, cultivation, phenotype, experience, and even a little patience help shape the final plant.
That intersection is where My Cannabis Art lives.
What We Cover
Our goal is to build a useful cannabis reference library that growers and curious adults can return to again and again.
We focus on:
- Cannabis strains and genetics — lineage, strain type, characteristics, flavors, aromas, reported effects, and genetic history.
- Seeds — autoflower and photoperiod genetics, feminized and regular seeds, mix packs, and seed-selection information.
- Growing — practical information for indoor and outdoor cultivation, from getting started through harvest and curing.
- Genetics & science — plant biology, breeding, cannabinoids, terpenes, phenotypes, and the science behind cannabis.
- Reviews and comparisons — straightforward looks at seeds, genetics, products, and resources that may help growers make informed decisions.
- Cannabis knowledge — terminology, history, culture, and educational topics that help make the cannabis world easier to understand.
Genetics First
A strain name alone does not tell the whole story.
Two cannabis plants carrying the same strain name can still express differences in height, structure, aroma, flowering behavior, potency, yield, and other characteristics.
That is why we try to look beyond labels.
When information is available, we examine lineage, flowering type, seed sex, growing difficulty, environment, reported cannabinoid levels, plant characteristics, and other useful genetic details.
Our goal is not to pretend every cannabis plant will behave exactly as a chart predicts. It is to provide a better starting point for understanding what those genetics may be capable of.
Growing Is Part Science and Part Art
Cannabis plants are living organisms, not manufactured products.
Genetics matter, but so do light, temperature, humidity, soil or growing medium, nutrients, watering, training, pests, harvest timing, drying, curing, and the decisions a grower makes along the way.
That means published THC percentages, yields, flowering times, and plant heights should usually be understood as estimates or potential ranges—not guarantees.
We believe good cannabis education should explain that uncertainty rather than hide it.
Our Approach
We want My Cannabis Art to be useful without becoming another site filled with exaggerated claims.
When we publish strain or seed information, we aim to distinguish between documented genetics, breeder or seller information, reported characteristics, and our own interpretation.
If two sources disagree, we would rather tell you there is a discrepancy than quietly choose whichever number sounds better.
The cannabis industry still contains plenty of conflicting information. Building a trustworthy reference means acknowledging that.
Our Relationship With Seed Companies
My Cannabis Art may use affiliate links to cannabis seed companies, including ILGM (I Love Growing Marijuana).
If you purchase something through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate relationships help support the site, but they do not change our goal: provide useful information first.
We are not ILGM, and we do not sell or ship cannabis seeds ourselves.
Prices, promotions, availability, strain specifications, and product offerings can change, so visitors should always verify current information with the seller before purchasing.
Responsible Cannabis Information
My Cannabis Art is intended for adults 21 years of age or older.
Cannabis laws vary by country, state, province, and locality. Information on this site is provided for educational purposes and should not be interpreted as permission to cultivate, possess, purchase, or use cannabis where doing so is prohibited.
We encourage every reader to understand and follow the laws that apply where they live.
We also avoid presenting cannabis as a guaranteed treatment or cure for medical conditions. Discussions of effects reflect reported experiences, product information, research, or commonly associated characteristics—not individual medical advice.
Why “My Cannabis Art”?
Because no two gardens are exactly alike.
A seed begins with genetics, but what develops from that seed is influenced by biology, environment, technique, and the grower behind it.
Some people see cannabis simply as a product.
We see genetics, history, science, experimentation, cultivation—and yes, art.
That is what My Cannabis Art is here to explore.
