Anthony Davis was the leader the Los Angeles Lakers required him to be on Wednesday night with LeBron James sidelined on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
Davis powered the Purple and Gold to a 138-122 win over the Utah Jazz at Delta Center in Salt Lake City thanks to a dominant 3rd quarter that saw him set up 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Davis completed the video game with 37 points, 15 rebounds, one help and one block. It marked his finest video game given that he installed 41 points, 11 rebounds, 6 helps and one block in a win over the Toronto Raptors on Jan. 9.
The Lakers enhanced to 30-26 on the season with Wednesday’s win and they stay strongly in the playoff hunt in the middle of an up-and-down project.
After the win, NBA fans fasted to applaud Davis for his supremacy, with some even recommending he needs to remain in the MVP discussion:
