All-Star guard Jaylen Brown revealed his belief that Tuesday’s 105-104 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers after blowing a 22-point lead in the 4th quarter boiled down to the Boston Celtics’ state of mind.
“I believe we are a far better group than we revealed today. Today was simply a mindset loss. We had the video game and after that we got comfy, so it was more of a frame of mind thing than X’s and O’s. We got ta simply be the more disciplined, the more militant group. We weren’t that. Generally we are that, and we felt that today and I believe that’s the reason that they had the ability to return into the video game.
“Our frame of mind was a bit too lax, and we were too negligent with the ball. We weren’t deliberate on offense. We type of let guys get to propensities that we were expected to eliminate. We quit offending rebounds, things that all simply includes frame of mind.”
Boston led 93-71 with about 9 minutes staying in the 4th quarter, however the Cavs outscored the Celtics 34-11 the remainder of the method to snap the Celtics’ 11-game winning
