Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Pete Fairbanks called out what he thought were “terrible” baseballs that came out of the humidor at Coors Field throughout Friday’s 10-7 loss to the Colorado Rockies.
Fairbanks began in the ninth with the Rays up 7-6 and permitted 3 straight strolls before giving way for Jason Adam. After the video game, the right-hander stated the baseballs he was provided on the mound weren’t approximately his taste and “general bad,” mentioning a basic disparity.
